How do i make my skin less oily?

my skin has been really oily lately and i've just been putting on coverup to soak it up, but it doesn't seem to help very long. it's causing me to have more pimples too. help!How do i make my skin less oily?
DO NOT cover it with make up. Wash your face, cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize (non-oil based), and all that jazz. You could also use plotting sheets to get rid of the oil.How do i make my skin less oily?
Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

dont put makeup over it, use blotting sheets! it takes off the oil without even messing up your makeup

i spend prbably like 50 dollars on these sheets a year
Putting anything on it to soak it up is just going to make it worse!

Do you moisturize after you wash your face? If not, you should. Otherwise, you can try some OTC products for oily skin and see if those work. I'd personally recommend Neutrogena.. in my experience, their products work the best.

Whatever you do, avoid the makeup until you solve this problem. The makeup combined with the oil will make your face break out.
1. Cleanse ; wash twice a day with the ridht mid-cleanser - rinse well with COLD water to help tighten your pores.

-- %26gt; try. '; Olay Deep Cleansing Face Wash ';

2. Tone ; use the right toner after washing - it will dissolve any pore-clogging makeup or cleanser residue left on your skin

--%26gt; try. ';Tee This is Your Wake-Up Call Toner, sephora.com ';

3. Treat ; use the right scrub or mask twice a week after cleansing - store it in the fridge fir a cool, soothing effect.

--%26gt; try. ';Dermalogica Anti-Bac Cooling Masque ';

4. Moisture ; use the right non greasy lotion daily on damp skin for better absorption.

For the morning try. '; Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion with SPF 15';

For night try. ';Vichy Normaderm Anti-imperfection hydrating care';

5. Drink lots of water. Water helps flush out acne causing bacteria.
you should wash your face once in the morning and once at night .. if your skin isnt naturally really oily you could be using face wash that is drying your skin out so much its producing more oil or you need to use a stronger one... you really need to just try a few things and see whats best .. aveeno foaming wash works really good along with neutrogena
Use an exfoliater every day as your face wash. Make sure its oil free. This will make your skin feel smooth and soft and get rid of oil, plus get rid of acne!! I put mine on in the shower-make sure you scrub your face for about 1minute. And make sure you get the right kind because some exfoliators are made for dry skin, which will do the opposite of what you need. Another answer would be do an acne treatment such as Murad (love it-works great) because this will dry your skin while preveting acne. Then if it becomes too dry then put a little moisturizer.
TRY WASHING IT EVERY DAY TRY ST IVES BLEMISH CONTROL I THINK THATS WHAT IT IS CALLED ALSO YOU CAN TRY ST IVES FACIAL SCRUB THAT MIGHT HELP. THEY BOTH CAN BE PURCHASED AT YOUR LOCAL DRUGSTORE . GOOD LUCK I HOPE YOU FIND WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND I HOPE IT HELPS
Peppermint tea %26amp; Green tea as a toner and if needed to get rid of excess oil thruout the day. Refrigerate.

Apple cider vinegar mixed with equal parts of water as a toner.

I've tried all of theses and my favorite is the apple cider vinegar because it's cheap, doesn't have to be refrigerated and you don't have to brew it like the tea.

Hope this helps!!!!
Wash your face two or three times a day with a mild cleanser that does not include perfumes or additives. Keep your skin very clean, but do not scrub too hard.

Use an oil-free moisturizer and cosmetics.

Use a clay-based face mask two or three times a week.

Choose products containing alpha-hydroxy acids, which remove dead cells and give skin a smoother appearance.

Mash up a small amount of papaya for your own fruit acid mask. Smear it on your skin, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse.

Steam your skin several times a week. Add chamomile, lavender oil or dried herbs such as rosemary, parsley or thyme to the water.

Keep your skin hydrated by drinking at least eight glasses of water a day.

Reduce fats and oils in your diet. Increase your intake of fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

Watch your sun exposure. Although the sun may seem to dry your skin, too much heat actually stimulates the production of more oil.

Supplement your diet with B-complex vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin C, zinc and vitamin E. You can also take a high-potency multivitamin.
