I would use oil blotting sheets before you apply makeup, and throughout the day. They take the oil off your face and work really well! You can get them from target or walmart or something :)In the warm weather my makeup appears shiny and skin get oily?
use a moisturiser for oily skin before applying makeup.
try Vichy Normaderm hydrating care- it will also prevent spots and acne, which excess oil can cause.
Vichy capital soleil mat micro fluid spf30 is good for sun protection and keeps skin matte.
Roc Hydra + Bio Active combination skin is also a good moisturiser, i use it at the moment and it has spf15.
also, Vichy Normaderm pro mat, has spf15 and keeps very oily skin at bay.
Primer is key. Primer acts as a makeup base and is a barrier between the makeup and your skin. With primer you will also notice better coverage, and it takes makeup alot longer for oil to seep through. I use Pur Minerals colour correcting mineral which is a green colour. Green diffuses red so it helps cover any redness or acne marks and scares you may have. Also before applying primer use an oil free moisturizer which will help control oil too. Next step is blotting papers. The best I have found are Shiseido Pureness papers. They remove oil but not the makeup which is great for touch ups. Look for makeup with no added oils and are made for oily skins. These formulations are mattifying which will help absorb oil and produces a less oily face. Hope that helps.
Nuetrogena has a moisturizer that can stop oil production from your sebaceous glands, which causes shininess, and can leave your face matte for teh whole day. Just go to the neutrogena aisle and look for that moisturizer and always to remember to use moisturizer before applying make up, which can reduce the oilyness in your Tzone.
Blotting sheets do also help. And remember to use Oil-free products that are water based, otherwise they will also produce more oil on your skin.
Blotting sheets work GREAT! but...they smudge makeup(eve though they write that they don't) So if you don't want to touch up the foundation, don't use the sheets.
A matte primer works good because it absorbs oil and gives your skin that nice matte look. You can also use a matte foundation like the chanel one.
My all time favorite would be tinted BLOTTING POWDER. You can get this from MAC or other drugstores. It is slighlty translucent so can add over foundation or alone!
Makeup forvers HD Definition powder (translucent) works well in making the skin look matte and also reducing the look of wrinkles/fine lines!
GO TO A MAKEUP AISLE AT A DEPARTMENT STORE AND THEY';LL BE HAPPY TO HAVE YOU TRY STUFF OUT, Sephora even lets you take samples home!
Use Clean and Clear Skin Control before you put your make up on and this should be fab for you!
